Scholarship Fund
COAGEHR provides scholarships to handbell directors who are Colorado residents, AGEHR members, and first-time attendees at the state handbell festival in April of odd-numbered years. These scholarships can enable many people to attend such learning events.

Auction Items
In April of odd-numbered years at the state festival, a Silent Auction is held. The proceeds provide COAGEHR Scholarships to attend the next festival.
What to donate? Anything and everything, even non-handbell related; a handmade or homemade item, jewelry, mugs, knick-knacks, frames, note cards, food, etc. The handbell manufacturers usually donate, HIC members often donate something from their business, the board may make a gift basket of items, composers can donate signed copies of music (either a full choir set or a mixed set of singles) or even commissions, ensembles could donate performances, directors could donate services, and ringers could donate mentoring sessions.
Be creative! You don't need to be famous or rich (though those sorts are also welcome) to donate. You don't even need to be present at the festival to donate as you may mail your donation ahead of time or contact an officer to make arrangements for delivery/pick-up. You may also, if you like set a minimum bid on your item. Items known by a certain date will be advertised on our website, but "walk-ins” will be accepted. This is also a reminder to bring your checkbooks/credit cards and plan on bidding on items large and small for a worthy cause!!
To find out more about donating, please contact Karen Harris, silent auction organizer. In April, 2007, $656.00 was raised which is available to scholarship applicants for the 2009 Keystone event. Applications available October 1, 2008.CHIME Loan Fund
The CHIME Loan program provides a set of handchimes and basic instruction books to two organizations a year, allowing that organization to start its own Handbell/Handchime program. The program benefits schools, churches, and other community groups. The CHIME Loan fund pays for new materials for the groups, as well as repairs to the chimes, etc.
Donations can be made in honor of someone or in memory of someone and your donation will be listed on this website. To donate, please make checks out to CO-AGEHR and in the memo line, note which fund.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
