A great opportunity ...

All...This would be a great opportunity for your church or group to promote handbells while most of us are on 'summer vacation'. If you are interested please read below and contact Jim directly for details. Keep Ringing! ----- Trudy -----

Jim Hicks is the Director of Music at the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, NJ. (http://www.pcmorristown.org/) -- He leads the Ringers-on-the-Green, choir of high school students representing the music ministry of that church. They ring six octaves of precision-tuned handbells manufactured by the Schulmerich Bell Company, Sellersville, Pennsylvania. Over the 30-year history of the choir, the Ringers-on-the-Green have performed in 38 states, three Canadian provinces, Bermuda (including three tours) and Europe. The Ringers-on-the-Green present concerts for numerous New Jersey-based civic and religious organizations, and are an integral part of the worship life of The Presbyterian Church in Morristown. The Ringers-on-the-Green recently released their first recording: A Carillon of Praise. The Ringers-on-the-Green will tour Colorado at the end of June 2008. First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins has agreed to host the students and staff on Saturday, June 28-Sunday, June 29. We are looking for additional concert venues (one appearance each day) from June 26 to July 2. They are open to anything (nursing homes, churches, community centers, etc.) and are happy to travel all around Colorado. The choir also needs overnight housing and breakfast the next morning. The group is comprised of nine girls, seven boys, two adult female chaperones, and one married couple (Dr. Hicks and his wife). Interested hosts can contact Jim directly. His cell phone number is 201-486-7538. He can be reached by email at jhicks@pcmorristown.org
